We welcomed Graham Herschell Pitt to our family on Saturday, May 12 at 9:25 am and we are overjoyed to have him. The kid's middle names were given in honor of our beloved grandparents. Tatum's middle name, Brooks, honors Nin and Pop and Graham's honors Goggo and Pappa. What makes this even more meaningfull is Graham's birthday fell in between Pappa's of May 11th and Goggo of May 13th. We know they were all with us as we welcomed both Tatum and Graham.
His arrival was a completely different experience than that of Tatum's but what is the same is the immediate and enormous love we felt for each.
As you can imagine, Rodney took thousands of pictures - 2K to be precise - and we have had trouble finding time to sort through them but here are a few shots that I think sum of the past few days...
Tatum meeting Graham for the first time. She didn't really talk for the first 20 minutes of being in the room but was very warm with him and pleased to hold "her baby".
Tatum's warmness continues but it is sprinkled with a bit of "demanding big sister". This is such a cute picture of them snuggling but for full disclosure you should know that she took a swipe at the poor guy directly after this sensitive caress!
But overall, I think she likes him. Rod has been a super Dad and husband and I smile each time a I look at my little family.
All the attention hasn't been on Graham these past few days - look what Tatum got at the store with Dad today! She looks pretty special too!
